I've got a little story a tale to tell Bout a man I met and his Louisianna gal Mississippi flows down to New Orleans And here we find the famous jazz scene Liquor flows free people packed in tight Beats and trumpets heard through the night Everybody knew her on the scene She's almost as famous as the actor Jame Dean Wore an emerald green dress With her jet black hair She had thrift shop jewels And a black eye to pair Smoked her cigarettes With her whiskey in hand She didn't really care if she had an affair She dances at night under a big bad moon She's our very own riverboat queen Alot of girls tried but it's no surprise Louisianna Lou gonna get you too She dances at night under a big bad moon She's our very own riverboat queen Alot of girls tried but it's no surprise Louisianna Lou gonna get you too She gonna get you too Louisianna Lou She's in the wings with a bottle of beer Waiting for her turn she's always on cue The band will soon be ready though she'll never play a note She goes where she wants always smoking her dope Louisianna Lou is a girl we all knew Special in her own way she's one of the few Counting down the hours till the show is done We head backstage to start the fun She mused all the greats from back in the day You can still hear her voice to this very day Her sounds will echo through all of time To blow really hard is the way we play She dances at night under a big bad moon She's our very own riverboat queen Alot of girls tried but it's no surprise Louisianna Lou gonna get you too She dances at night under a big bad moon She's our very own riverboat queen Alot of girls tried but it's no surprise Louisianna Lou gonna get you too She gonna get you too Louisianna Lou She's softley spoken when you see her outside When the sun goes down she's Louisianna Lou She dances at night under a big bad moon She's our very own riverboat queen Alot of girls tried but it's no surprise Louisianna Lou gonna get you too She dances at night under a big bad moon She's our very own riverboat queen Alot of girls tried but it's no surprise Louisianna Lou gonna get you too She gonna get you too Louisianna Lou

Valve Baby 02:22
My baby, she loves me there's no other babe for me My baby, she loves me there's no other babe for me Me and my baby, Oh Yeah, just us two in the world My Baby she knows me, Like no other baby does My Baby she knows me, Like no other baby does Sitting here, me and my baby, and my valve amplifier

I'm sitting down on my bed My hands inside my head My bank account is empty All my money flew away I think of all the good times All the fun we had before You keep me awake late at night One day I'll get to hold you tight I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry As we sit beneath the same blue sky I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry As we sit beneath the same big sky I find myself weeping At the thought of you so far away I wonder if you're cold at night Lonely I despair I'm holding our old memories Of us in happier times I'm waiting for the day to come I can hold you in my arms again I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry As we sit beneath the same blue sky I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry I wonder why we cry As we sit beneath the same big sky The day has come, it's finally here I'm up at dawn, driving down to see you The roads are quiet, no traffic to be seen My heart beats faster the nearer I feel to you The car pulls up I race inside I see you sitting there My pounding heart explodes I'll never pawn my guitar again

Erm 03:41
Open the box and see you inside Bluella the blue princess of the bass She's got shiny new strings and red strap to match Hold her for the first time she won't break my back Plucking my bass so the sound hits my face My finger might be blistered my hands might be torn My muscles are hurting and my eardrums are sore Timing ain't a clock but it gets me on form Gotta keep on playing and break through the pain I looked for a hero, and found myself a flea Mellowship in b is too much for me Back to the basics, play it again and again Practice makes perfect let the journey begin Gas ain't an element it'll break my piggy bank I'm 12 years old and just started playing bass I wrote my very first song on bluella the bass Grown up in a studio but never knew what it meant But my first songs on a record, which I think is pretty ace I'm 12 years old and just started playing bass I wrote my very first song on bluella the bass Grown up in a studio but never knew what it meant But my first songs on a record, which I think is pretty ace

All round the world, spread far and wide Music unites us, all round the world Revolution is starting, wakes from it's slumber We are together, all round the world New years day we're so full of hope, this was to be our year But out from the east came a bat snack feast and put it all to shame The lights went dark and the doors were all shut the stages left all empty The world has changed I never knew it could our lives will never be the same All round the world, spread far and wide Music unites us, all round the world Revolution is starting, wakes from it's slumber We are together, all round the world There's people all round the world and they're just like you and me If you're rich or if you're poor or whatever your views may be We may be all round the world spread out far and wide But no matter what type of music you play we're all part of this tide All round the world, spread far and wide Music unites us, all round the world Revolution is starting, wakes from it's slumber We are together, all round the world It doesn't really matter if you think you rule the scene The fact is really simple that you work for you and me An important thing to remember while sitting watching here my friend Is to have a jolly good time and rock n roll be free All round the world, spread far and wide Music unites us, all round the world Revolution is starting, wakes from it's slumber We are together, all round the world The bedroom now has become the stage our phones have become the doors To hear soul music seep out the heart has become what we adore All round the world, spread far and wide Music unites us, all round the world Revolution is starting, wakes from it's slumber We are together, all round the world

No Regrets 05:13
The day I met you so long ago We were so small, young and wild I found a friend, a friend in music Bound in notes and chords and songs From that day on my life has changed I knew it would never be the same Companions in passion with highs and lows Adventures in towns we didn't know We saw the world with different eyes We saw the same Memories mayhem no regrets Life should be great and not always long Seize it live it love it long Play it hard don't play it safe The day you were gone was a day to forget I cried my tears and no regrets Each day you lived your life to the full No point waiting for a sunny day to come Life's too short to live with what ifs Saving your passions for a rainy day Sunrises were early and sunsets were late Time was short but memories are long I remember a time of adventures of three Now it's just us three Memories mayhem no regrets Life should be great and not always long Seize it live it love it long Play it hard don't play it safe Memories mayhem no regrets Life should be great and not always long Seize it live it love it long Play it hard don't play it safe Twenty years and I think what you've missed I smile and know you'd laugh with me Seen more crazy things we could ever dream Weddings, gigs and travels to lands far off Memories mayhem no regrets Life should be great and not always long Seize it live it love it long Play it hard don't play it safe Memories mayhem no regrets Life should be great and not always long Seize it live it love it long Play it hard don't play it safe

Tripping and falling and rolling out of bed Sounds around me I can't get you out of me head Coffee in the mornings and then I tune my drums I got nothing better to do than sit and play a tune Get a job They said Time waster They said Haven't got a chair, haven't got a home My drums aren't a looker but it's the only thing I own They're a real workhorse breed performed in hundreds of shows Dents and scratches all over the scars from all the beats Pack them up pack them down, we've done this before Drumset up and sorted the quiet before the storm Get a job They said Time waster They said Torn jeans with gold boots and dreadlocks in my hair Zildjian vest all covered in holes but I don't really care Run through stellawood cemetery to hitchhike to a friend Got my promarks in my pocket and a snare drum on my back Pigeon valley late at night hoffmans bike is by our side Walking round the wilderness we hear strange and spooky sounds Monkey's sitting in the tree tops, rain falling to the ground Climb a big old Mango tree and talk to my eidolon Mary Jane She keeps us sane Mary Jane Our favourite spikey green haired The storm hits hard with thunder above, lightning all around Black ocean danced and swirled far out, never turn our backs on it The demon face comes out the rock to eat us one by one It sends its young to ruin our fun and the night comes to an end Mary Jane She keeps us sane Mary Jane Our favourite spikey green haired dame

Waiting 05:02
Standing in line to see your favourite band Pushing to the front of the stage The house lights dim and the music fades away Waiting for the show to begin A heave from the back As there's movement up front And the crowd now erupts to a roar Jumping up and down I can feel it down my spine Jumping up and down It's coursing through my veins Jumping up and down Out another night again Jumping up and down Until the sun comes round Any moment now Electricity will flow The band steps up to the stage Ecstacy peaks as the drums drop the beat And the bass line eats up your face Your heroes upfront they're larger then life Like the posters that hang from your walls Jumping up and down I can feel it down my spine Jumping up and down It's coursing through my veins Jumping up and down Out another night again Jumping up and down Until the sun comes round It's all over now As you're walking back home A stub to stick on your bed Covered in sweat and stale beer too A late night meal for two The night might be young and we're forever young And the memories will never fade Jumping up and down I can feel it down my spine Jumping up and down It's coursing through my veins Jumping up and down Out another night again Jumping up and down Until the sun comes round

Somewhere 03:27
I walk past the corner where you live I take a glance and see you inside Everyday I know you'll still be there And wonder if you ever think of me One day soon you'll be mine One day soon we'll be entwined Other people there looking at you I don't want them to spend their money inside I'm almost there nearly got enough I dream of the day I can hold your curves One day soon you'll be mine One day soon we'll be entwined I can't wait to hear your screams at night God I want to hear you whisper to me Your sweetening calls as sweat drips down Tell me you and I are meant to be You may claim to be out of my league But in my heart, I know my worth I've busted my ass and I've paid my dues None of the others came close to you One day soon I'll own you too One day soon we'll play as one Today's the day the time has come I'm brave enough to take the plunge I'm going inside with my feelings sky high Nervous excitement a natural high Today's the day I've had enough Today I bought my Paul Reed Smith I can't wait to hear your screams at night God I want to hear you whisper to me Your sweetening calls as sweat drips down Tell me you and I are meant to be I can't wait to hear your screams at night God I want to hear you whisper to me Your sweetening calls as sweat drips down Tell me you and I are meant to be

The rain lashes down against the window On my fourth floor hotel room Late at night As I sit here all alone by myself and I'm thinking Of what has been and what will be Time oh I don't know It's the morning and we're in transit we're driving Grey clouds overhead and mist on the windshield As the road in front looks like a snake into the distance I wonder about how I got here and why I'm so far from home The days drag out ahead of me from town to city to town The same show night after night but the people are differant Time oh I don't know About time I don't know The distances between us spread further as time passes on Every show means we're apart and I'm alone with my thoughts Even though there's people around me in my face and in my head They're talking all the time to me but I can't hear what they say After the show is over I'm back in a hotel room all alone again Others that are inside mean nothing as they fade away Time oh I don't know About time I don't know Time oh I don't know About time I don't know Will time leave me behind

Hey pretty girl can I have a cigarette It's nice to see you on the dance floor tonight I love your dress and you're made up real good Did you know you'd lay those gorgeous eyes on me Can I buy another drink for you And should we go outside to talk too true I've got something here that you might like Any one you please they're all here for you Dejection and rejection as I'm shot down yet again A heat seeking missile has hit me from behind A fighter spinning down spiral smoke fulls the sky My night might be over because it's crashed into the ground Hey hot shot I really like your moves You're wearing a lot do you think you're really hot Going to stand there all night or buy me a drink It's eleven thirty five and I'm digging your vibes The face floor is cool but I'd rather be with you Want to go outside for a smoke or a ride Stay up all night and watch a sunrise Who knows I might like you and keep you around Infatuation and attraction takes my sense away I'm ready for a good time and you might be my kind Take me back to your place let's have a few more drinks I've had a few already it won't push me over the brink

By My Side 06:44
Sitting next to you my head is full of stories I try how I try but they never want to leave my mind We walk together and I hear just what you say You're my muse of life and a song comes our way Words fall onto the paper they define themselves in ink Verse after verse just rolls of my tongue like that Soon my heads all empty and there's nothing left inside The tale we tell is over and fits nicely to our song Together we're on the same page Our mind gelled like a wine that's aged When I'm conjuring here with you The song comes out thick and fast Creating songs and journeys far Because of musing by my side With all that we have been through Since the day we first met Trials and tribulations And days of near death Bringing our new life to this world Our minds and bodies combine as one We just want to ride on our alien vibe The spaceman sings his songs to us Smoking dragons tales we've never tried Spent too many years sitting on a bus My silver pen has run dry but you've always got one for me And now we write and play our songs as just us three The're no where else in the world that's the same As sitting here with you by my side The voices in my head try tell me what to say But you're my voice of reason and you keep me in the play Another shot of whiskey while rolling with our boss My head is clear my mind is not I prayer we're never lost The stories that we sing to you Are nothing but the truth I say Every tale and journey we ever had Is written in these words Dirty straights are a thing of the past Practicing with fresh cut grass Sitting on an empty field With a bottle of wine to see us through The summer days seem to pass so slow Our childhood seemed to last for years But none of that matters anymore We just want to ride on our alien vibe The spaceman sings his songs to us Smoking dragons tales we've never tried Spent too many years sitting on a bus

about

Billy Blynde have recently released their debut album The Great Muggi Bandits and the Hoo Haa Experience and created a buzz on social media. The three piece are a multi-instrumentalist family band from the rolling hills of Devon, England where their familiar flat caps and cheap sunglasses are symbolic of the South West rural coastal town of Torbay, which they have called home since 2009.
Featuring South African born Larry and Lou, who started their musical journey playing drums and bass respectively. The two earned their music stripes playing in their hometown of Durban, in a couple of bands performing in a lot of weird and wild live shows and releasing a couple of studio albums which had a great reception. But the thirst for adventure and travel was too much to stay in South Africa. In 2002 they left their little town nestled along the Indian Ocean for the big city and sights of London, England. With both holding dual Nationality new adventures were only a plane ticket away and the two sold their beloved gigging equipment to fund a new life abroad.
The next 18 years saw travel to far off lands, marriage, plenty of great concerts and a move from London to Torquay after the arrival of their daughter Dale in 2007. With a new baby music swiftly had to take a back seat for a couple of years. During the next 12 years music was a constant in their life and music recording and production become Larry’s passion as he preserved with the transition from a musician to being both recording engineer and producer. Steadily he built up a repertoire of songs and learnt a bit of guitar along the way.
Fast forward to September 2019 and Dale started High School and after a few days asked if she could start to learn the bass. She had told her music teacher all about her home recording studio and musician parents and after learning keyboard and ukulele she decided she wanted to be like Mom and play the bass. Soon band practice become Lou playing guitar whilst teaching Dale the bass.
A creative explosion saw Lou and Larry writing of a lot of new material, reworking old songs and Dale writing Erm. By Christmas the collection of instrumental songs become affectionately known as the Muggi Bandits and the idea to upgrade their Demo songs to something more meaningful was born. Scouring the South West for second hand tube amplifiers and a forever guitar for Lou saw her own a PRS guitar after just 3 months of playing. It was also time for Dale to attend a real music concert and in early March the family saw Joanne Shaw Taylor and Sonia Leigh perform raw explosive sets at the Exeter Phoenix music venue, one of the last live concerts for the rest of 2020. The moment was a light bulb moment for the potential of the Muggi Bandits material.
Despite the worldwide Covid lockdown work life and music continued in the Blynde household. Recording of drums, bass and guitar went down smoothly and the writing of lyrics and singing vocals was the next hurdle to overcome. It was something neither had done before. In the old days that was the singer’s job. Soon lyrics came out thick and fast and summer was spent laying down vocal tracks and mixing down. The theme of their musical journey become the story of the album that would become The Great Muggi Bandits and the Hoo Haa Experience.
Each song is a chapter in the story that is their musical life from the Alice Cooper inspired AC Blues which is really about loving a band but not wanting to sound like them or follow the rules of musical genres to Around the World which tells the story of music in 2020. Dale played bass on Erm which tells the story of Bluella her brand new bass and the right of passage of anyone starting out on an instrument.
The Great Muggi Bandits and the Hoo Haa Experience was released on the 9th November 2020 and distributed through Distrokid.
We hope you enjoy our musical story as much as we loved making it. Look out for Erm video in early 2021 and a five song EP in the Spring. Love in Music
